Hotel Villa Bosque, Cecily Martin

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our journey around Costa Rica, Hotel Villa Bosque was definitely my favorite. This was largely in part not only to the location of the hotel, but also the architectural design and décor of the public areas of the property. Hotel Villa Bosque is located beside Manuel Antonio Beach and National Park. Given that we were so busy working on our project, it was rejuvenating to be able to take a quick break and enjoy the beauty of the beach. I absolutely loved how there was also a lot of wildlife present on property and around the hotel. I saw a porcupine, dozens of monkeys and a variety of birds. The hotel has so much charm and has a distinguished façade. Beautiful arches and columns make for an impressive exterior, along with the lush trees and exotic flowers. Although the interior isn’t as luxurious, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. I loved how they created a super cute towel animal on my bed, in the shape of a turtle, which I thought was a really nice touch. The food was also delicious and they offered a variety of high quality options, not only at the complimentary breakfast buffet, but also for lunch and dinner. I was really impressed with the staff and their ability to accommodate various dietary restrictions. The one challenge our group faced with this hotel, as with other hotels on this trip, was having limited access to WiFi. Access to WiFi was imperative for our group, as we had deadlines and deliverables, but given the central location of this hotel, we were able to easily find a restaurant down the street with a strong WiFi connection. I hope to return to Costa Rica sometime in the near future and I look forward to staying at Hotel Villa Bosque again!
